Samaritan Evergreen Hospice is a local, not-for-profit hospice that serves Linn, Benton, Marion and Polk counties for over 30 years. The mission is to provide compassionate care for the dying and their families. The staff and volunteers offer end-of-life care for patients where they live – whether that’s in their home, assisted living facility, nursing home or adult foster care home – or at the Samaritan Evergreen Hospice House in Albany. The area’s only freestanding hospice house is a place where patients’ symptoms can be more closely managed while caregivers take respite. Additional services include massage therapy, programs for veterans, pet therapy, counseling and grief support. For more information or to make a referral to hospice, call 541-812-4662.
